M&M Chocolate Chip Cookies

Who doesn't love chocolate chip cookies? No one. That's who. So, I figured that the best recipe to start out with is the one that I just whipped up tonight for my friend from skating! I didn't make her anything for her birthday a few weeks ago, and people tend to get upset when you skimp out on giving them baked goods. But I think that once she gets a whiff of these gems, she will be just fine with having had to wait.

They are chocolaty and chippy and everything that you could ever wish for in a cookie classic! I personally used some cake flour, but if you don't have that, or don't want to make the effort to go out and buy it, just use an extra cup of all-purpose flour instead, omit the baking powder and be on your merry way!

Ingredients:
2 sticks of unsalted butter, softened
3/4 cup of granulated sugar
3/4 cup of packed light brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons of vanilla
1 teaspoon of salt
1 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
1 cup of cake flour
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
12 ounces of mini semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup (at least) of M&M's

Steps:
1. Cream the butter and sugars together.
2. Add the eggs, vanilla and salt.
3. Mix in the flours, soda and powder.
4. Add chocolate chips and M&M's.
5. Use an ice cream scoop (about 2 tablespoons) to put dough on an ungreased baking sheet.
6. Bake dough for 10-12 minutes in a 375 degree oven.
7. Eat!! And maybe give one or two to some of your family or friends, depending how much you like them at the time.
