Reese's Twix Cookies

So my sister is in Galway, right? Right. And her best friend, Amanda's, birthday is tomorrow. Therefore, it was left up to me to ship Amanda, who goes to UNC, Chapel Hill, a lovely little birthday package.

Amanda, who I'm somewhat friends with myself, actually loves my baking, and so I would have ended up sending her something for her birthday anyways, even if Mary was not out of the country.

If I had to describe Amanda in three words, I would have to say sarcastic evil genius... And I mean that in the most loving way possible.

I am just realizing that these pictures are blurry... And I'm also realizing that I can't take any better pictures because all of the cookies are, in fact, packed away in a box to be sent to North Carolina once the streets are cleared on this unexpected snow and I get trek out to the post office across town... Hmm... That's okay. You know what a cookie looks like.

Ingredients:
2 sticks softened butter
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 bag of fun sized Twix bars, chopped
1 bag of mini Reese's cups, chopped

Instructions:
1. Cream the butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar. (Taste test, because you simply have to, because it just smells so good.)
2. Add eggs, vanilla and salt.
3. Mix in flour, baking powder and soda.
4. Add the chopped up candy (at least the candy that you haven't eaten yet).
5. Bake at 350 degrees for exactly 12 minutes.

Happy birthday, you sarcastic evil genius!
