Frosted Tea Cakes

These are not actually cakes. Nor do they have anything to do with tea. You could probably drink them with tea. That would probably taste good. Except that I don't drink tea. I'm not even sure if I like tea. Maybe I should try some tea sometime. That might be nice.

You know what, I have had tea once. I was four. My next door neighbor was babysitting me and she made me drink it. Who gives a four year old tea? I'm not British. I wish I was British. I'm actually German, Polish and Irish. Not British at all. It's sad really.

You know what's not sad? These cookies. They are actually the opposite of sad. They are very happy! I wanted to make something that seemed like spring because the weather had been so nice lately so I found this recipe and whipped up a batch!

Even though you have to roll out the dough, bake, cool and frost, they really aren't difficult and really didn't take that long. It's probably because you don't have to chill the dough first. Just make sure to use a lot of flour when rolling out the dough. It can be a sticky situation!!

What makes these cookies better than just sugar cookies is the lemon zest in the dough. Really. It gives them a little something extra. These cookies are also really soft, butter and somewhat flaky! Overall, they are delicious.

What's that? You want to make these?! Good idea! Just go to THIS. It will help to head you in the right direction to make all of your dreams come true. Well, maybe not all of your dreams, but at least one or two.
